Where is the event taking place?
The College of St. Scholastica campus is located at 1200 Kenwood Ave Duluth, MN 55811 and the primary event programming will take place in the Benedictine Commons.
Where should I stay?
There are three options coordinated by the MN Co-op Summit organizers with special rates for Monday 7/27, Tuesday 7/28, and Wednesday 7/29:
There is dorm lodging available to reserve at the College of St. Scholastica. The dorms are directly across from the event space on campus. There are standard dorm rooms with 2 twin beds in each for $73 per night and suites with two bedrooms and a shared bathroom and adjoining space at $140 per night, each with a two night minimum. You can make reservations by following this link. Note: when making a reservation, it is for the entire room so if you’d like a roommate, please coordinate that independently. There is no air conditioning in these rooms. Some units are accessible, please note that request on the form if needed.
There is a hotel room block reserved the Holiday Inn and Suites Downtown Duluth (200 West First Street Duluth, MN 55802) that offers a free shuttle to the Duluth Airport, to the event location, or within the city. The group rate is $169 per night. Reservations need to be made by 6/27. You can make reservations by following this link or calling 218-722-1202 and using the group code CMN.
There is a second hotel room block reserved the Inn on Lake Superior (350 Canal Park Drive Duluth, Minnesota 55802) that is in Canal Park right on the lake. The group rate is $232 per night. Reservations need to be made by 6/27. You can make reservations by following this link or calling 218-726-1111 and using the Group ID #209.
You are also welcome to find your own lodging and coordinate your own arrival to the event.
What are the available travel options to reach Duluth, MN?
Duluth, Minnesota is located approximately 2 hours by car from the Twin Cities and also has the DLH airport located within 5 miles of the event venue. The Holiday Inn & Suites has a free shuttle to & from the airport.
We have a Co-op Summit bus traveling from the Twin Cities to Duluth. The bus will leave the Twin Cities the morning of 7/28 (likely around 7:00 a.m.) and leave Duluth for the return trip the evening of 7/29 (likely around 6:00 p.m.). To reserve this affordable round trip option ($15) please select the bus ticket on the registration page. Note: we need a minimum of 15 people by June 15th to reserve the bus.
What is the childcare option?
We are pleased to be able to offer childcare for the Summit in partnership with a Minnesota childcare cooperative, Paper Moon Childcare Cooperative. This offering is available for children over 18 months old who are potty trained. It is available of no charge to attendees but please indicate that you are interested on your registration form before June 26th. We need a minimum of 2 children to move forward and the offering will be available first come, first serve up to 5 children.
