Marjory Gilsrud

Marjory Gilsrud is a dedicated community leader, housing advocate, and caregiver with a passion for empowering residents and strengthening communities. She currently serves as President of Madelia Mobile Village in Madelia, Minnesota, where she works alongside fellow homeowners to promote resident engagement and community success.

Marjory served for six years on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of ROC USA. She also served as Chair of the ROC Association Board of Directors from January 2020 through January 2026 and remains an active member of the ROC Association Leadership Team. Throughout her leadership journey, she has championed resident ownership, community development, and opportunities for homeowners to have a meaningful voice in decisions affecting their neighborhoods.

As a housing advocate, Marjory has represented resident-owned communities at the national level. She traveled to Washington, D.C., to participate in strategic planning meetings and meet with policymakers on Capitol Hill, including members of both the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate. During these visits, she advocated for infrastructure funding and resources for Resident-Owned Communities nationwide, helping ensure affordable housing communities have access to the support needed to thrive.

Professionally, Marjory works as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA), providing compassionate care and support to elderly and disabled individuals. Her dedication to helping others is evident both in her professional career and volunteer leadership roles.

Marjory has been married to her husband, Mike, for 16 years and is the proud stepmother of three daughters and grandmother to one grandson. When she is not serving her community, she enjoys crafting, traveling, and creating handmade items that bring joy to others.

A passionate advocate for fair and affordable housing, Marjory believes housing should be a bipartisan issue because everyone deserves access to a safe, stable, and affordable home, regardless of income level. She remains committed to promoting policies and partnerships that expand housing opportunities and strengthen communities across the country.
