Chad Friese
Chad Friese is the General Manager of Chippewa Valley Ethanol Company (CVEC), a farmer-owned ethanol cooperative in Benson, Minnesota. CVEC has been producing ethanol products since 1996 and has built a reputation for its ethanol policy leadership and for expanding the boundaries of farmer-owned ethanol with its innovative processes, diversity, and marketing Programs. Friese is a graduate of Concordia College, Moorhead, Minnesota, where he received degrees in Environmental Studies and Communications. Friese, who grew up on a farm in Central Minnesota, began his career in agriculture as an Agronomy Manager and Certified Crop Consultant. In 1998 Friese became the General Manager of a privately owned grain shuttle facility in West Central Minnesota. In 2005 Friese joined the ethanol ranks as a Risk Manager and Commodities Manager for Granite Falls Energy and then for the Chippewa Valley Ethanol Company (CVEC). Friese was hired as the General Manager of CVEC in the Spring of 2014. Friese serves on several boards as a Director, and on executive committees, organizations with an ethanol focus, such as; (MBA) Minnesota Bio-Fuels Association, (ACE) American Coalition of Ethanol, (RFA)Renewable Fuels Association, (RPMG) Renewable Products Marketing Group, and (GEM) Guardian Energy Management LLC, and its affiliated production operations.
