Brent Rempe

Brent Rempe believes financial services should lift people up, not hold them back. Guided by the credit union principle of “people helping people,” he sees credit unions as more than places to manage money—they can transform lives, create opportunity, strengthen communities, and give people a fair chance to succeed.

Brent is a recognized leader in cooperative development, holding multiple designations: Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE), African Development Educator (ADE), Advanced African Development Educator (AADE), European Development Educator (DE Europe), and International Credit Union Development Educator (I-CUDE). His work has taken him to Canada, Kenya, Senegal, Malawi, Zambia, The Gambia, Thailand, the Philippines, and El Salvador, participating in international exchanges that strengthen the global credit union and cooperative movements and reinforce his commitment to financial inclusion.

Before becoming CEO, Brent served as Chief Lending Officer and Client Strategist, leading mission-aligned lending strategies that expanded access to credit while ensuring long-term sustainability. He is a Certified Credit Union Executive (CCUE) and Certified Credit Union Investment Professional (CCUIP), bringing both technical expertise and a values-driven approach to leadership.

At the heart of Brent’s leadership is a simple philosophy: empower people and trust them to succeed. He embraces transparency, open-book management, and practical innovation to help his team balance purpose with performance. He is especially dedicated to serving “fresh start” and “first start” members—those beginning again or entering the financial system for the first time. For Brent, true success is measured not in balance sheets, but in the real-world impact his credit union has on members’ lives and the communities it serves.
